A community leader ..
Helene Larocque has vast experience as a community leader and is the only candidate for Ward 3 Alderman who lives in the Ward. She has lived in the community for more than 20 years.
Helene's held the following positions serving Calgary communities prior to her 2004-2007 term as Ward 3 Alderman:
- President of the Martindale Community Association
- President of the Federation of Calgary Communities
A problem-solving entrepreneur
Helene is an experienced leader, manager and entrepreneur who can bring people together to solve common problems.
- Twenty years of business management, owning three small businesses
- Training as a crisis counselor and participating at fund-raising events

Helene is the proud mother of Travis (12) and Tyler (16). She's active in her sons' hobbies and volunteers at their school.
Travis and Tyler like to swim and play floor hockey at the YMCA. Tyler is aspiring to be a professional BMX biker and works at a community business.
Travis loves biking and skateboarding and is actively involved in his faith community.
From Ottawa to Calgary
Originally from Ottawa, Helene moved to Calgary in the 1980's for the city's economic opportunities.
